so i know that everyone knows what im talking about if they can remember reading this :P i have a great memory unfortunately it is VERY SHORT!!! i can't remember anything. i forget a conversation while i am still having it. when im at work (and my job is to deal with the public) and i am giving directions to destinations or trying to make reservations i forget where they are wanting to go or the proper protocol for making the reservations. i also forget the simplest of words which then make me look like a fool because it looks like i don't know my job which i do. what on earth can i do to help this situation? its really quite frustrating. this is my rant... thank you for listening... or reading... or whatever.... :P

happens to me all the time. just the other night i was checking someone into my hotel and i was trying to say "the RATE of this room will be..." it didn't come out that way. i said RI - ATE. then the people look at me like i'm crazy. it's frustrating when they don't understand.

you sure aren't alone here. Even as i still have my hand on the light switch i'll have to ask my boyfriend "what was i doing?" Takes three trips to the kitchen in the morn to take my pills, i just always get there and forget what i was doing there. I find writing more helps, just everytime i get time i just make lists, or vent like a journal on a scrap paper, ooo and a white board on the fridge.

In just a few years, my memory has gone from photographic, to non-existant. I worked as used car mgr at a car dealership (to make sure I had a work excuse to drive of course) and out of a 500 used car inventory, I remembered the stock#, year, make, and model of every car on the lot. I could also tell a brief description and mileage of any car in question. It was like a circus act sometimes, other employees used to try to stump me for fun. Today, I had to get a new password to log-in. I didn't remember what day it was until I turned this thing on. I used to get on-the-spot raises from the owner of the dealership I worked for, now I can't even remember what day it is. I was going to school for computers, but quit wasting my money because I couldn't remember what class I was taking from day to day. The only class I did remember was the first one in the morning because of the cute blond that sat next to me, now, I can't even remember her name. I do however, remember specific physical features about her, why is that?
