alcohol and simple-partial seizures

i was diagnosed two years ago with simple-partial seizures and have been on 150mg lamictal twice a day since then. the thing is, i never had anything past a simple-partial and they happened pretty infrequently, maybe 5 per year. i see many people on this board inquiring about alcohol and seizure disorders, but its seems like many of these people have grandmal seizures, not my condition. i was just wondering whether the risk of having a seizure (if you've only had simple-partials) while drinking maybe 4 or 5 beers is increased as much as it is for people that have more severe seizures than i do.

heyy im 17, and i suppose like evry one else, love my friday and saturday nights, im nto goign to lie, i drink, i go to partys and on occasion been a bit worse for wear in the morning, however it dosent tend to have an effect on my epilepsy at all,  i have partial and tonic clonics since i was ooh probiblky about seven, i think its evrybody for thiert own, eryones diffrent, it dosent affect me in any way, the only way youll know is to try and find out,

Just don't over do it. Some posters that are posting "you will die" are being quite dramatic. Talk to your neuro about it.. My doctor says one or two drinks will not effect the level of medication in any negative way. Don't let having a sz disorder hold you back from living your life! Just be smart about it.
