During my last seizure I bite my tongue. It has been hurting now for a couple days now. Does anyone know a good treatment for a bitten tongue?

My 6 year old had 5 tonic clonic seizures yesterday. During one of these seizures she bit her tongue which bled. Today it is so swollen and sore she can't even close her mouth and she won't eat anything including popsicles which she loves. Anything she can do other than tylenol or ibuprofen?

THE BEST thing is TIME (takes

THE BEST thing is TIME (takes 2-3 weeks) and go DENTAL RELIEF.Remember the ingredient "BENZOCAINE 20% SOLUTION" and search your local pharmacy, cvs, walgreens, etc. for stuff like "Orajel" or cheaper little tubes, just check out the facts for what it's made from and you'll see Benzocaine. This is a substance which you will find in any dentist's office and they use it for EVERYTHING. Rub on the offending mouth part in pain and it numbs the crap out of it for eating and swallowing and sleeping. Use when you need to talk or speak, or eat, or sleep, etc. Typically, you think teeth when you think of this stuff, but it actually works wonders for everything mouth. Cheeks, tongue and gums which have cuts.Should cost you about 7$ and provide sweet relief. Don't have to use a lot just enough to cover.(Source. me 20 years of grand mal seizures)

I had 3 seizures on Sunday

I had 3 seizures on Sunday and chewed my tongue really badly, I tried some Rescue Remedy spray on it this time a bit it would make it sting even worse like the other sprays I tried but the RR calmed me long enough, the pain does come back quite quickly though.
