side effects of tegratol

second time on the site ,and newly diag with ep.Does or has any one had side effects while on tegratol any maybe while dinking? stevo

I have been taking Tegretol for 22 years, and never had a problem with drinking. But I have to say that I have rarely gone beyond one (and occasionally two) drinks. I don't tolerate drink well anymore, and feel hung over with two, so rarely drink at all. There have been the odd times where I went beyond the two drinks, and besides feeling awful, I couldn't tell of any problems with interaction with drink. But I only take 400 mg a day.
