side effects of tegratol

second time on the site ,and newly diag with ep.Does or has any one had side effects while on tegratol any maybe while dinking? stevo

Oh and taking other drug's i.e.. cocaine, ecstasy,ketamine...just a few example's..I wouldn't recommend it...I know from experience that you will have seizures...I've also been seizure free for about 2 years.

Tegretol should not be taken with alcohol, or grapefruit juice. It can also lower your white blood cell count. I took this with no problems for over 15 years before developing side effects. Headaches, dizziness, staggering walk, slowed concentration, slowed speech, nausea and vomiting. Check with your neurologist for more information regarding Tegretol. BTW, a dirivative, Trileptol also requires no grapfruit juice and produced similar side effects for me. The best thing about this drug is that it controlled my seizures, but I couldn't tolerate the side effects.
