"feeling" others siezures

Thu, 06/22/2006 - 06:27
I am blessed to have certain gifts and one that I found by accident is the ability to tell when the little girl I am an Aide for has a siezure coming. It may sound strange but I can be near her and feel her aura start, look at her and ask if she is ok and sure enough she wil begin to spiral down. I say spiral because that is how it feels to me. Like she is spiraling down a black hole and everything fades away to black. There is a definite spinning feeling. I am now able to sense this spiral and get her into a safe position. She does not have spasms but gets very weak along with having Cerebral Palsey and needs to be sitting and held up. Does anyone have experience with this "sensing"? I am a Reiki Practitioner/Teacher and my other gifts include clairevoyance, clairesentience, and a weaker ability for mediumship. Lovea nd light, Tracey

Lisa, First off.. at NO time did I call you a liar.. Secondly, if you look at an extension of one your reference pages http://www.aetw.org/main1.html you will see there are now MANY types of Reiki. I can only speak of the type I know, and I don't recall your saying what type of Reiki you had, so how you can possibly conclude I was calling you a liar is beyond me. I respect your thought, enough to have gone to each site you listed. Yet I'm now getting hostility, and screams, in return. People do not always agree; and, as stated, I could only comment on the type of Reiki which I know. So, I didn't deserve your screams, and they aren't appreciated. ~sol Yoga is another area that is thought to help seizures. http://www.epilepsy.com/articles/ar_1066714949.html

Sol I dont want to argue with you at all, and I am not screaming at you, just trying to get my point across. I got the impression that you didnt believe me that it caused me to have seizures. I am not here to fight with anyone. But because I had to prove to you in the past, I felt like I had to prove to you again by giving web sites. SO to answer your question from the very beginning, my source of info about the blood flowing differently is from my practitioner. I should have not search for the info to prove to you. For each site I gave you, you tore it apart because of what you believe in and made me think even more that you didnt believe what I was saying. Then you pointed out that Reiki is for healing, and I felt you still didnt believe me. Each one of us will have different views or beliefs on different topics and neither of us will be able to change that. thanks for the discussion Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/

Hi everyone, Great discussions on complementary therapies. If this was posted and I missed it, sorry. A resource for people to read about known and unknown effects of some complementary and alternative therapies on epilepsy is a book edited by Dr. Orrin Devinsky, Steve Pacia and Steve Schachter. Lots of good info on variety of topics. You can get the book at amazon.com or visit the bookstore on this site!
