Deja Vu leading to sick feeling

Tue, 06/16/2015 - 22:02

Hi, I'm a 22 year old female. For the past two months I've been having bad déjà vu episodes with a nauseous feeling. I can't concentrat on anything other than snapping back to reality. They last about 30 seconds. If I'm driving, I have to pull over. At first I thought they were memories but now I know they're not. Sometimes just looking at someone's face triggers it. Does anybody know what's wrong with me?

Have you got an update for us

Have you got an update for us now that you've gotten a diagnosis and a prescription? Have you gotten any relief from what you're experiencing? Even reading your post and my asking you is familiar to me like I have already done this before with you, here, but I cannot recall the final outcomes of things before they actually happen. Just everything is familiar to me as like a dejavu. At first I thought it was because t.v. is ALL REPEATS, that it was the t.v. doing it. But when it was happening when there was NO t.v. playing anywhere it was a radio. Then it kept happening when there was NO radio's, NO t.v.'s and in places around people I have never been around or met before out of my native state of California in a store I'd NEVER been to before i was freaking out in my mind thinking i am DEFINITELY going through something... this isnt NOTHING anymore. This is SOMETHING and i need to know what it is and if it will go away and does it mean something bad is wrong with me. Some kind of brain cancer or what??

I am experiencing the same.

I am experiencing the same. The deja vu feel is so real but yet I can't explain it. Only happens every couple months so far but I have passed out 2 times, once while driving. I wish I knew what was going on. CT scan and blood work were normal

Hi all, I am 34 years old, when I was 18 I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy because I was having these strange deja vu scenarios and feeling sick and dizzy after, sometimes blacking out for a few seconds but I always felt rough. I was put on medication which had some side effects and slowly took myself off the medication over the last 6 years just to see how it would affect me and touch wood it'd been fine, up until a week ago when I began having the same deja vu/sickly feelings but no blackouts yet. I have a new born son who is sleeping very little so I don't know if lack of sleep and the deja vu feelings are connected, I don't want to be medicated again because the side effects were horrible but if that's the case then so be it. Perhaps someone could have more of an insight into this then that would be great. Thanks
