Deja Vu leading to sick feeling

Tue, 06/16/2015 - 22:02

Hi, I'm a 22 year old female. For the past two months I've been having bad déjà vu episodes with a nauseous feeling. I can't concentrat on anything other than snapping back to reality. They last about 30 seconds. If I'm driving, I have to pull over. At first I thought they were memories but now I know they're not. Sometimes just looking at someone's face triggers it. Does anybody know what's wrong with me?

This sounds like what I experienced. I drink Gatorade after it happened and felt great. When I saw my doctor today (about 10 days after it initially happened) he suggested it was due to over-hydration. Bingo!

This has happened to me for the past 4 years or so. It used to happen in the shower, but now I can be laying in bed, driving or just sitting down watching tv ect.. It first starts off with a feeling in my stomach, I can feel it coming but can’t stop it from occurring. I get like a Dejavu, day dream type thing where it’s like I should know the people or place but I don’t.. I feel so sick as it’s happening and sometimes I need to put myself on the ground and it can be a scary feeling.. Afterwards I feel funny and end up with a headache. I try to explain it to people but no one ever understands me. I have been to Dr’s and they prescribe me with medication but it never works because I feel like they don’t know what’s going on so they give me medication for things that they think it may be.. I’m scared to see someone about it as I worry my license will be taken off me as it happens when I drive and I know it’s dangerous.. Has anyone ever seen someone and got to the point of what it is? I’ve had MRI and other scans but they always come back fine and I’m sick of not knowing what is happening to me! Thanks!
