Post Partum Seizures

Tue, 08/01/2006 - 15:49
After I had my first child one year ago Aug. 11th. I was doing good for about a month. And, then a month later I would start to get some seizures every once in a while. They have always been controlled by my meds. But when I do have them they are always when I wake up, all of a sudden, from a deep sleep. Or, when I didn't get enough sleep. Did anyone else have more seizures than normal after they had their baby?

Ok so my daughter will be 10 in March and I've been having seizures, only around my menstrual cycle, since she was about 3 months old.  I've never had any seizures before I had her, I had a natural birth too. I've spoken to numerous doctors and they just give me more pills... anyone have answers or anyone that have this same issue?

I started having seizures about 2 months after my daughter was born and now I have them mostly during my menstrual cycle, I got my tubes tied shortly after because I was afraid something would happen to the baby if I had one....

Hi. Ive have nocturnal seizures and have done since puberty. I had a son who is now 5 month old. Ive not had a fit since birth (I only have about 2 or 3 a year). So I cud potentially have another soon. But Ive heard tales that pregnancy can trigger epilepsy. So I was wondering can it go the other way. As in stop completely... my nan has epilepsy after she had my mum and died from a seizure. I’m so scared incase that happend to me
