any teens feel Out numbered

Hi Everyone my name is Gina. I am 17 years old and a junior in high school. I have had epilepsy since I was 8 mounths old. It has been very hard on me all these years. does anyone else feel this way? I realy wish that i could drive because all of my other friends can. This past time I went to see my doctor which was only a few weeks ago and she told me that I have tried almost all of the seizure medications that I could go on. I felt very sad when I found out like someone punched me in the stomach. I hope that I am not the only person with epilepsy who feels this way.

Hey, my names Katie, and im new to the site..Im 17 years old as well and i know exactly how you feel. You feel like nobody understands what you are going through and like you are the only one going through it. I know now though that im not the only one going through this, but it is still really hard to cope with the fact that you still have to go through having all the seizures and also how you will not get to do other things in your life, such as driving..anyway feel free to email me or add me to your msn, my address is little_miss_vixen_forever@hotmail.com

If the seizures don't go away with mdicine talk to your doctor about surgery. I'm 14, I've had seizures since I was 5 and I'm going through testing for surgery. Then you'll be normal and be able to drive.

Hi epileptic teen I have already had surgery. I am 17 and i had surgery when i was 9 years old. When i was younger my seizures use to be alot worse then they are today. I use to have about 1 or more grand mall seizures. Know I only have 1 or more simple partial or complex partical sezures a day. I have tried so many drugs and all of them that I have tried so far have eather helped my seizures and given me dubble vision and sick to my stomach or no side effects and more seizures. Thanks for the advice though. Keep in touch. take care from Gina
