I had to stop taking Lamictal because of the side effects, along with the fact that the dr increased my dose too quickly. It mad me crazy. I was very agressive and I wanted to hurt anyone who made me mad. I never did, but I sure wanted to!

On Lamictal & Have a VNS ... I am actually on Lamictal and also have a VNS too. I have had side effects from Lamictal, such as dark circles under my eyes and occasional depression etc. But all in all I would have to say they are minor. All sz meds effect each person differently. Just because they effect me one way doesn't mean they will effect the next person the same way. It is just trial and error. I can only speak from my experience. But from the 9 years I have been on it. I have done very well. Now though, with the combination of Lamictal and the other sz meds I am on(zonegran and clonezapan) and my VNS therapy I am doing the best I have ever done. I am doing great. My sz's are more controlled now then they have ever been. VNS therapy is WONDERFUL!!
