Everybody has a different situation, but hopefully your doctor told you what kind of side effects to keep an eye open for - like a serious rash if too much is taken too fast. I would express my concern to the doctor and any extra questions for the pharmasist too. My daughter is 11 / 88lbs she's on week 5 for absence seizures (petite mal seizures). She blanks out frequently, but so far nothing real scary has occured. She started out taking 1/2 of a 25mg tab in the AM & PM; now she's taking a whole 25mg AM & PM. I remember reading about lamictal - some side effects are dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and rash. It is important to tell your doctor if she's taking any other meds - over the counter and perscription. My prayers go out to you and your family. May God give you grace to handle this season of life.
