How do you know if you're having seizures at night?

Wed, 10/25/2006 - 19:49
A week or so ago, I noticed I had a pretty sore bruise on my elbow, and I have no idea how I got it. Then a few days later I found one on my forearm, still, I don't know where it came from. Also about a month or so before that I noticed I had bitten my tongue on the side and it was really sore, and once again, I do not remember doing that. I don't know if it's just my memory loss,a nd I don't remember doing this stuff or am I having seizures at night. All three were different situations. Any comments would be helpful! Nichole

Nocturnal means you are having your seizure while you are asleep. Some people don't even realize that it is happening to them. I wake up from having them with the aura (mine is a feeling of fear and absentmindedness, followed by a headache and I am usually flushed). Some people are like me and are simply having a partial or a complex partial, but there are others that will have a Grand Mal by the way it sounds. Lucky for my husband I am not kicking and biting him in his sleep. Hee Hee ;-)
