How do you know if you're having seizures at night?

Wed, 10/25/2006 - 19:49
A week or so ago, I noticed I had a pretty sore bruise on my elbow, and I have no idea how I got it. Then a few days later I found one on my forearm, still, I don't know where it came from. Also about a month or so before that I noticed I had bitten my tongue on the side and it was really sore, and once again, I do not remember doing that. I don't know if it's just my memory loss,a nd I don't remember doing this stuff or am I having seizures at night. All three were different situations. Any comments would be helpful! Nichole

Yes, I'd wake up with not only a bite on my tongue, but a general feeling of haziness, a weakness that isn't associated with a lack of sleep. I'd be very disoriented. Never got the bruises, though.

i sometimes wake up with random bruises on my legs and arms and dont know how they got there. The main way i know i had a seizure the night before is when i stand up in the morning i feel REALLY heavy on my legs and feet, and i'm usually really tired the whole day.

My husband can sleep through an earthquake, and says he doesn't think I have sz at night because he doesn't wake up. But I am sure I had a sz last night. I woke up this morning with a cluster of rats in my hair, only in the back (unusual for me-I don't move much when I sleep, so my hair doesn't mess up much), and I had a roaring bad head ache. I am sure I had a sz last night, but my hubby says, "not that I noticed". Oh well!
