Tue, 05/12/2009 - 08:49

I am at wits end for my daughter. Diagnosed 4 years ago. Have not yet found a med that works for her. Lately she has constant seveer leg pain/tingling. She has to get up and walk around saying Ow OW OW OW  till it subsides.  Yesterday she had 7 eposides - 2 of which went into seizures.  Today looks like another day of the same.  First leg feeling at 5am and again on bus en route to school. Has anyone had similar expereices?????

We are not getting anywhere with our docs.

Thanks.

Omg......my daughter has the exact same issues...thought I was losing my mind....there are days where she can't walk and I have to force her because I can no longer carry her. Her leg and her arm (always left side) have also on occasions locked with unable to bend them. Limb pain and tummy aches are an indicator of her seizures....she has focal epilepsy with absent and atonic seizures. She is 9 yrs old and is going to go through puberty soon which is going to make things alot more difficult.

I just had some massive pain in my left leg. There was subsequent pain in my right leg at the same time but no where near as severe. It was horrific pain and tingling that spread slowly from my toes up to my knee and eventually back down again over a several minute span. It was almost unbearable but I kept my leg completely relaxed as the rest of me practiced breathing through it as I  writhed in agony and tears waiting for it to stop. It was not a cramp and my foot was not asleep and it was worse than any neuropathy I have ever experienced. I was fully awake though I felt as though I would pass out from the pain. And I handle pain pretty well, I have not taken a single prescription or OTC pain medication in years.
