Welcome to My Epilepsy Diary!

Sat, 10/31/2009 - 07:53

Hi everyone!

I hope you've had the chance to try out the new and revised My EpilepsyDiary. I hope you find it as easy to use as I do.  There's a new video on the home page that will show you how to get started, as well as a detailed help section.  We hope these help you get started with your own diary - create one to help monitor and track your own epilepsy. If you're a parent or other caregiver you can start one for your loved one with seizures! If you run into any problems and need some live help - send an email to - webmaster@epilepsytherapyproject.org or patty@epilepsytherapyproject.org. Or post questions or concerns right here. I'll be checking this frequently and will get right back to you.

We welcome all feedback - what's working well, what's not, and what you'd like to see in the future. The Diary was created for you, so please let us know how you feel.

We look forward to hearing from you and don't forget - Take Control!

Best wishes,

I would like to start using My Epilepsy Diary,  but I only had one seizure thus far in my life, and I just want to register the medication side effects, and mood swings for example, but the radial button for the seizure option is automaticaly checked, so if I register a side effect it will look like I actually had a seizure also. How can I uncheck that seizure radial button?

Hi MarcoAS,

Unless you have setup a seizure type in your diary the radio button doesn't register when you save the page. All you have to do is ignore it unless you are recording a seizure. I know it isn't ideally intuitive, but we tried to simplify the interface for both single and cluster seizures and this was the best we came up with so far.

So if you have entered your medications, you can just select a day and enter that you took your meds, any side effects and your mood for that day and click save at the bottom of the page. You should only see the icons for those items in your diary.

Please let me know if this doesn't work for you this way.
