Hi Michelle,
I recently started taking Topamax and Tegretol. I was wondering how you are doing and if you ever got your question answered about the tingling? I am experiancing tingling in my face.
Are you still on both? How are you feeling? Did you experiance extreme sleepiness? How long did it take for the Topamax to completely enter your system and your body to adjust?

My husband's doctor recently added Topamax, he also is taking Lamictal. My husband memory is really poor, after being on the Topamax his memory was worse & he seemed confused all the time. He since stopped taking it & things are back to his normal. Maybe, helpful to some, however, not for him.

I just recently started taking Topamax. I take Tegretol as well but I need a second drug for the full effect. I have been on it for about a week and am still tapering on. I definitly notice the memory issues and trouble with word retreival. I also experience the weird taste change with soda. Thats so funny! I was dimissing it, thought I was weird, but I guess theres something to it. I have yet to experience the tingling sensation in the hands and feet, but it looks like most people do. At least i'm prepared for it now and wont freak out if it occurs. Has anyones doctor made them stop taking it do to the tingling? I think my most ditracting side effect currently is this non stop headache. Its not a terrible one, or a migraine which I can get and is normal for me. But its there. It's more annoying then anything else. I am not liking the on going headache.
