Is it safe to go to the beach when you are anti-seizure meds?

Fri, 08/12/2005 - 13:09

Alot of you know Hubby is on two different meds right now (Dilantin and Lamictal) and in the middle of going off Dilantin and going onto Lamictal. He wants to go to the shore and spend time alone with me since our 4 kids are away. Im too afraid that the sunshine adn all the meds he is on will make him sick. Can this happen?

Hi,

Just ageeing with all of the above posts. Still, only you know how you cope with your husband's seizures and how his medication generally affects him. Weigh it all up and go with what feels right, but try not to lock yourselves away.

I hate it when my son rides a bike, goes rolling blading, rides a skateboard, jumps off cliffs, goes nightclubbing, lifts weights etc. but at the same time I love to see him being 'normal' and in the end we will deal with things as they happen.

Take care and find enjoyment where you can,

Maryanne :)
