Medications and Sex
Sat, 03/10/2007 - 12:29Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows which medication(s) may produce the most sexual side effects. I am on 4 different medications and my sexual desire went way down to just about nothing. I don't know what pill is doing this to me (and I know it is the drugs). My boyfriend is getting so frustrated with it as well as I am, but I don't know what to do.
Does anyone have any idea which medication may have produced this more than the other medications? If you are having the same problem, which drugs are you taking? Can someone please help me?

I have noticed the same thing. I have been on Lamitcal for 4 years and my sex drive is nothing like it used to be. My husband knows it the meds but it doesn't make it any less frustrating for him or me. We used to have a "crazy" sex life. Doing it any chance we got, literally! Once I was diagnosed and put on meds my sex drive just keeps going lower and lower. Now we're lucky if we have sex twice a month. I would be very interested in any ways people have worked thru this.

I recently switched from Dilantin to Lamictal, I never noticed any problems with Dilantin, but Lamictal is a different story. My interest in sex has become almost non-existent.
