Hello.

My wife suffers for complex partial epilepsy with secondary generalization.  She too has occasional intense mood swings, exacerbated by her period.

Lexapro is an excellent SSRI that can moderate mood swings in people with epilepsy.  Epilepsy, especially limbic system epilepsy, has a profound impact on sensitivity.  Lexapro can help reduce the emotional sensitivity and obsessional-type negative thoughts.

Everyone should remember Kay's words.

My heart goes out to your daughter.  I cannot understand how her husband could leave and take her children.  There is not enough medicine in the world to heal that wound.  It almost brings me to tears to think of that situation.
