"I need a buddy that has seizures 2"

Sun, 02/05/2006 - 18:43
I'm 20 yrs old I've had seizures for over 7 yrs, I was homeschooled all throughout highschool so I never got to expierence it. which is kind of a bummer. I have plenty of friends but all of my friends are just weird when it comes to my epilepsy. What really sucks is being 20 years old and not being able to drive I feel like I'm baby. I just wish a had a friend that was goin through what i'm goin through. -miranda-

Hi Nana! I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I can imagine it's pretty tough. My friends never really make a big deal about my seizures, which I'm glad. Although, and I'm not sure why, my friends have been more distant from me. I have been somewhat worried about when I go for my driver's liscense. I've had a few seizures, minor, but they are still seizures and could count against me. Even if I do get my driver's liscense, I'm a little afraid if something could happen to me while I'm driving. My seizures are very infrequent, but you never know (I once had a seizure in the doctor's office, what are the odds of that happenning with someone who has seizures every few years?). Don't feel like a baby though, that'll just get you down. I'm sure it's easier said than done, and I have yet to experience it. If you ever need a friend, just lemme know, I'm usually a better listener than a talker :) -Erika "You are never a loser until you quit trying." -Mike Ditka

thank you for your support and everything I didn't mean to put that on there about my friends I guess what I meant to say is that I can just scare my friends a lil bit when I have my seizures which is quite often sometimes. And I have my license but the reason I don't drive is my parents I just feel like they are totally over protective of me half the time. I mean I might be the baby of the family but I 20 years old I'm not a baby any more if you catch my drift. but n-e-wayz thanks for your support.
