does smoking trigger a seziure?

hi i am a 17 yr. old girl who likes to go out with friends. many of my friends are 18 and are allowed to smoke cigs. some of them asked me if i wanted to try...no pressure or anything......i just wanted to ask if smoking can cause a seziure????
i was diagnosed w/ep.last april and i only have had 2 seziures in my life....if anyone knows about the smoking thing..let me know...thanks!! anyone want to talk who is a TEEN..email me at sugar101203@yahoo.com

Quite a few years ago I tried out smoking and I know for a fact that smoking cigarettes can trigger seizures to people prone to Epilepsy and make them worse. I have Complex Partial Seizures where I won't fall to the ground, but on this particular occassion I had a seizure while I was taking a walk to my local store. When I came round, I found myself on the floor near a road. Luckily, there were no cars around at the time. I stopped smoking after that and since then I have not fallen during a seizure again.
So please do not start smoking. The risk isn't worth it.
