Should I have surgery?

Fri, 06/17/2011 - 22:06

Hi! All! My doctor is suggesting that I should have surgery. I'm undecided though because about 14yrs ago I was put in the hospital to see if I was a canidate for brain surgery. Except the doctors told me I wasn't because my sz came for different directions of my brain. Now my doctor is thinking that since I have been tested a great deal of yrs ago that I might be a canidate now. I'm afaid to get it done either way, because I'm afraid of what the results might be. What should I do?

colomain11, Have you read the article on the middle of the front page of this website?  It talks about a reversible procedure that is being tested right now.  Check into it, to find out if you qualify for the test.  Take care.  Read the message below mine.  It will give you more light as what you might experience.  Best of luck with your decision! - T

Hi there.

If this helps, there is a website where you can actually speak (over video) to doctors and get second opinions. There is an epilepsy specialist on there: www.2nd.md
