Topomax

Is anyone's child on Topamax? And if so are they having any side effects? My son takes Keppra 1500 mg a day and so far 150 mg of Topamax. He was so cranky on Keppra with horrible anxiety. So far I have not noticed any side effects from the Topamax.

Our 4yr old daughter is taking topamax and so far (4 weeks in) is doing much better than on tegretol, which we are taking her off. Her appetite is not good, but she doesn't seem to be losing weight, and no seizures for a week now - we live in hope.

My son was on Topomax for about 3 months. The only side effect that we showed at first was the loss of appetite. When they increased his dosage of Topomax it actually increased his seizures so we had to stop this med. Good luck to you and I hope that it works. Take care, Michelle
