Does anyone feel an aura before their child has a sz?

Sun, 05/06/2007 - 08:23
My daughter is 20 months and most of the time before she shows any signs of having a seizure, I feel funny. Like someone is sneaking up on me. Or i feel panicky. She could be sleeping just fine in her seat in the car while we are driving and all of a sudden i feel like someone is in the seat behind me I'll look at her and then she will have a sz. I am just wondering if I am imagining this or if parents can feel auras too. katie (morgan's mom)

I am not sure if i actually feel the aura before it happens but I think i always have a sick feeling in my stomach. My son's seizures started when he was two. Now he is ten, the doctors are stilling going back in forth on the the ACTUAL diagnosis is but he is def having seizures. Right now he takes trileptal three times a day before this he did take tegretol. Everything was fine with that but as most of you know we just have to keep climbing the med ladder until we reach the top. I pray some day, my son will grow out of this. He started at two with a grandmal seizure and now has Complex partial seizures. I want so badly to understand what he is going thru. Sometimes he feels so alone and wonders if he is the only one that suffers from this disease. Today was my first day on this site i think i might have him take a peek at the stories that are much like his. Thanks all. :) christina
