Thank god my kids weren't hurt but i ended up staying in the hospital for 38 days and thay told me it was EP and put me on lamictal. I knew something was wrong before the accident but i did not see a doctor. Now i wish i would have.

I know exactly where you're comming from Jay? I lost my license the first time when I was 17 after having a seizure in the passanger seat. I had called my sister to take me to the ER across the street from where I was working because I used to get aura's then before a gran mal I waited the 6mos and California gave me back my license then 9years later I had a partial complex and blew through a red light the witnesses say (I still swear it was green) but they don't know how fast I was going as I pushed the other cars (more than one)through the intersection and into the parking lot on the other side. I was driving a 64 chev pickup and broke the steering wheel with my face my arm and a couple ribs some people in one car were hurt pretty bad and the car they hit had a pregnant lady in it but her car didn't do much damage to the van it hit needless to say even if my seizures do finally stop long enough to drive again I don't think I'll ever take that chance I don't worry about hurting myself I can take a beating but I can't stand the thought of killing someone else.

Hello!  I'm sorry to hear about your situation.  I'm 25, I've had many grand mal seizures in my life.  I've had two accidents due to seizures, both of which I should have died...one of them resulted in the car catching fire, and I was pulled out by someone passing by.  I've had seizures that stopped my heart and required me to be shocked back to life.  I've also lost my license 4 times since I was 18.  It's definitly tough.  I currently do not have my license, and had to move to be closer to work.  The important thing is that you have to learn to make the most of it.  Right now, I ride my bike everywhere, unless its too far away.  I'm using it to get back into shape.  It's an outlet for me to channel my frustrations.  If I were you, I would find some way to not let it run your life.
