Question about aura's

Mon, 05/15/2006 - 11:28
How exactly do aura's feel? Can you have aura's and not have an actual seizure? I think I had some this weekend. I went off into like a "spacy" feeling. Like I was tingling and I couldn't make myself snap out of it for a few seconds. I have had a headache since I has these feelings. I have had E a long time, but I am new to all the terminology and so forth. Thanks.

Hello all, I am new to the site and I thought I would share something....... First, After having seizures since 10 years old, now I am 26... I just found out what Aura's are. It's amazing to hear your stories and hear about the various auras. It's very hard to explain what goes on when I have an Aura.... even when my doctor's ask... It's very hard to explain what happens internally...but thanks to you guys, I can now say more than I have! I know I zone out a little bit...... have a tingly feeling... take deep breaths, tighten up my jaws........ some come in for a second and go away quickly...... eventually leading up to a seizure in time Unfortunately,I have been having 2-5 auras a day lately leading to a seizure. And I can definetly agree that Aura's do not give enough warning at all...... When I was able to drive...... my auras did not give me enough time to stop and pull over, I have totalled 4 cars in my past..... thinking that my symptoms were changed..... a seizure was the result of all 4 accidents. with luck, god was on my side......... Ending..... I want to thank each and everyone of you for your valuable stories..... take care. -DP

SkydiverCA I'm not sure I follow you. My thrust here is that knowing your aura will give you control of your life back, even if medication and your doctor can't "control" your seizures. I have control of my life, thank you. Intensly learning my aura, every nuance, has given me the right to drive, travel alone and see the world. I've led expeditions into the wilderness. I am in control of my life. Sorry to pass this on, but it sounds like you need to get one.

hi solis, i was reading what people had to say about their auras and you are the only one who said anything about fear. that is the #1 word that comes to my mind if i have to describe them. i started getting them when i was about 9 years old and back then i would have hundreds a day. luckly they only come about everyother month now. they also aren't as bad as they use to be. i would cry my eyes out cause i just felt like something frightning had takin over my body. my heart will race and i just feel so much fear. i just thought i would share that with someone who sounds like theirs are the same. i have never in my life met someone who has auras, and it is interesting to socialize with people who acually knows how they feel
