My Child has BRE

HI, My daughter was diagnosed with BRE 4 months ago. She has had 3 seizures before she was put on medicine which is Trileptal which seems to be working for her. Her first two were worse thatn her 3 rd one. She vomits with her seizures and drools a lot. Hard for her to breath which is so scary to watch. Her first two where over 6 minutes and the third did not last as long. I would love to hear from any other Mom;s that children have the same disorder or any Mom's that children have outgrown this which is what out Dr.'s prognosis is. Thank you.

She did not fall asleep at her first test but she has a blip when they did the lights that made like a strobe light effect. We will have another test during Xmas break. What really iw the differnce between BOCE and BRE? Is your child on any medicne? Mine is on Trieptal twice daily. I have just noticed all my typos! I have a pupppy in my lap while I am trying to type! Any info I can have is great and much apprciated.

Thank you for your information. My dauhter is 8. Her seizures have only happened at ngiht. She has not had a seizure for 3 months but she is on Trielptal and we are getting her to go to sleep by 8pm to get a good nights rest.

My Dr. which we just saw said he would let us wait until the summer for another EEG because the Trielpitel medicine seems to be working and we are making sure she gets to bed at a good hour. Thanks for the infomation every bit helps!
