WHAT DO YOU FEEL AFTER SEIZURES
Mon, 04/12/2010 - 15:27I was wondering what people feel after a seizure, and how long that feeling lasts...I have been diagnosed with TLE, I get simple partial seizures....When I get seizures it usally lasts for a week on and off, then I will be fine for maybe 1 month...Can anyone please explain to me when you get a seizure how long does the faze last and the after effects....

I'm 24 and I've had seizure auras for years but I never knew they were related to seizures. I would just get these feelings of extreme dejavu, get very hot/sweaty, and just feel plain sick. They would pass pretty quick though and I never knew what to do about them. Sometimes I would get multiple all week and sometimes I'd go months without any at all. I had my first full blown seizure Jan 2016 where I woke up in the hospital. In massive pain, disorientated, and sick. I have now had almost 15 full blown seizures since. They all vary in how much they mess me up. Waking up in a hospital becoming pretty normal for me. Lots of times after my seizures I feel very emotional or depressed. My appetite completely gone. Food I thought was delicious 2 nights before I can't even attempt to eat. I just don't feel myself after most seizures for up to a week. It can be very scary not feeling like you have control over your state of mind.
