What are YOUR headaches like?

Tue, 08/16/2011 - 16:08

Hello all,

I have not had physical seizure in a few years, but I am having more and more "spells".  I had done some reading and have come to believe I'm having partial seizures, therefore, I'm going back to the doctor to start the whole diagnostic process over. Yay.

Over the past few years, though, I have gotten headaches that start at the back of my head, right at the top of my neck.  They travel up the back of my head and "sit" behind one or both of my eyes.  This led me to believe it was just a sinus issue, but since I've been doing more reading about partial seizures, I'm wondering if they're related? Oh, and I normally wake up with it.

Anyone have similar headaches?

Thanks,

Tmacmes

Hi there, I am not on any meds right now.

I had ALL the tests done a few years ago and I was on Keppra and Dilantin (sp?) and Neurontin, etc.  The problem was they never found anything neurologically wrong, so I stopped taking them.  I haven't had a seizure in about 4 years, but my "spells" are getting worse so I decided to start the process again.

So, yeah, I'm not on meds right now and I'm not looking forward to being on them again, lol, but I guess I'll do what I have to.  For now, I just deal w/the headaches w/whatever I've got in the house.

At least I know it's something I can bring up to the doc.

Thanks :)

Mine start in my forehead and move around my eyes I thought it either allergies , meds , teeth grinding at night ( I wear a mouth guard ) , Or the fact I dont wear my eye glasses all the time . I don't know Sometimes it hurts right behind my eye my vision sometimes blurs and I feel sick to my stomach but no vomiting . I'm gonna ask my doc next visit as the headaches quite often in the week .
