Hi,
We are only new to this website. My partner (Brett) has had epilepsy now for 2 years. He has been struggling for a while to find the words to describe the pains he gets in his head. When i read your email to him, he said that is exactly the pains he was feeling "electricity bolts".
He is also taking Vimpat (has just dropped his dosage back as requested by his neuro) because of these pains. Have you had any problems since droppping back your Vimpat with these pains in your head?
Thanks for your time,
Rach

Most all medication used to control seizures will have some effect on the memory. Some worse than others depending on the dosage and/or combination of other meds taken together.
It may not be the Vimpat alone but the combination of meds together. The doctor probably never mentioned to you that while taking a combination of meds as your son is, and this goes for any one taking several different medications at once. This may seem to control the seizures, but at the same time this turns the blood toxic, resulting in symptoms such as..... = loss of balance, loss of memory, impaired vision, slurred speech, loss of appitite, hair loss, decline in sexual activities, and more.... .
Anyone here with these symptoms from high doses or a combined dosage of medications will end up blood toxication which causes liver and kidney damage.
"NOTE"....... These days Doctors are nothing but sales persons. They get paid for the medication they prescribe. So they don't know whether or not a medication will work for you. But they get paid for it so that's what counts to them.
