Second Time around on Topamax....

ok so i been on topamax b4 and the first time didn't go over so well as i would of liked... I had too much weight loss, couldn't sleep, stress, and couldn't focus. so i switched to depakote...
But this time is going really well! better than i expected so far (unusually strange?). I been getting cotton mouth tho, decreased sweating (which makes me tired more easily), weight loss (not as much as i would like but hopeflly more), hard time waking up in the morning, mood swings sum times, but sum times very good and happy moods...
Maybe the first time i went on topamax the dsg was jst too high for me so this time its just right? i'm hoping, cuz i feel really good on it now... and i really dont want to change back to depakote cuz it made me gain alot of weight, so we'll see how it goes. IF u u know ne thing about topamax, please let me know. thanx loula.

ya ur brain does seem like it is on a different level when u go on topamax for the first time. Since its my second time, i do feel like im doing better and able to concentrate better tho... but good luck!

ya i just uped my dsg and i am starting to lose the weight... so about 8 pounds in about 12 days.... but hopefully the weight i gained from depakote will go away. thats mostly what i am conserned about besides my homework and my seizures.... but ya i do feel i am mroe concentrated and focused and doing alot bettter the second time around than the first so i might up my dsg.

Hello there hope your all well! I'm now upto 300mg and feel like I'm on another planet am sure things will get better in a couple of weeks. Take a multi vit drink in the morning so its interesting what jetnabesc said on pins and needles and going to start on omega 3 supp as read is good for brain function and memory and boy its bad at the moment - went to drs yesterday and forgot about getting my prescription which is why I went there because I was out of meds. Am suppose to be going back to work in a couple of weeks which should be interesting!!! I feel like my brain has gone on holiday again.
