lamictal medicine

Topic: Medication Issues

Hi, my son will be starting this medicine called lamictal. Has anyone had it before, it sounds like okay medicine just seeing what i have to watch out for besides the rash. Has anybody had a mood change in thierselves or kids. I'm always worried about medicine theres just to much bad things now in days, but i'm hoping this will help him out.

I would think those who have lived with this a while would have direct experience with generic/brand substitutions. The info was for the original poster who may not know, the ps is to my initial response and that was the first response to the OP.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy

I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 11 I was on lamictal for 10 years it unfortunately did not control my seizures but it did minimize them. I did get the rashes. I got them on the tops of my feet, the inner wrists, and my calves. They did not itch but over the years did get bigger. But I have heard a lot of good about lamictal it just wasn't right for me ;)
