this hair loss is ruining my life.

you guys...i need your help.
i am experiencing MAJOR hair loss while on topamax & lamictal. my eyebrows are thinning and im terrified if i dont do something i might go bald and lose my eyebrows. problem is, i'm also on a thyroid medicine called armour. none of it is helping.
i have like 3 doctors. a neuro, endochronologist & a homopathic doctor. he believes its the topamax & lamictal slowing down my endochrine system.
now, thank god, i have been seizure free for 2 years and can finally drive. do you guys think its worth it to risk having a seizure to save my hair? i know it all comes down to what i want to do but what would you do if you were in my position. it's really ruining my life.

Hi
It is the medication Topamax which is causing your hairloss. I am also on Topamax, but luckily I have plenty of hair. If I was you, I would leave changing your medications as a last resort if they have been controlling your seizures for the past two years and just go to a store and buy yourself a new wig. You just don't know if another medication will work has well!!
I am sure that you will make the correct decision for yourself.

you are sooo sooo luckly to have plenty of hair and i hope you will never have to deal with anything like this!
when you say its the topamax...how do you know it's not the lamictal causing the hair loss??

thanks guy, i really appreciate your responses. i take biotin and whats weird is that i didnt think it was helping at all, but when i was out of it, i think that when my eyebrows started thinning. im back on! nioxin did nothing for me. it just basically dried my hair even more. its so depressing because you commit yourself to all these stupid products and everyday youre hopeful, waiting to see change and it's all bs. I spoke to my neurologist. whats even more upsetting is that he's...as well as my family, are in COMPLETE denial that i'm losing my hair. my neuro doesn't want to hear it. how ridiculous is that?! he just loves to prescribe meds but doesnt want to deal with the side effects. i just dont know what to do. sorry for the venting. . .
