this hair loss is ruining my life.

you guys...i need your help.
i am experiencing MAJOR hair loss while on topamax & lamictal. my eyebrows are thinning and im terrified if i dont do something i might go bald and lose my eyebrows. problem is, i'm also on a thyroid medicine called armour. none of it is helping.
i have like 3 doctors. a neuro, endochronologist & a homopathic doctor. he believes its the topamax & lamictal slowing down my endochrine system.
now, thank god, i have been seizure free for 2 years and can finally drive. do you guys think its worth it to risk having a seizure to save my hair? i know it all comes down to what i want to do but what would you do if you were in my position. it's really ruining my life.

Dear Wattap, I can really feel for you as I have been experiencing major hairloss on Topomax and then the neuro thought she'd add in some Keppra and it just got worse. At the same time the seizures weren't uder control.
I have been using a shampoo and scalp treatment like the one decribed by mollys mum and have heard alot about biotin so am going to give that ago.
Although my hair falls out it is growing back like baby hair. For me I am not prepared to keep losing my hair and go bald (as I have some bald patches now and its so thin and upsetting on a daily basis) so am coming off the Keppra -0 which didn't agree with me any way and will slowly come off Topomax. Its not just about the hair its all the side affects I've had and the hairs the final straw for me. I know what you mean when you say its ruining your life.
The more your stress the worse it will be which like you I know is easier said than done. At the end off the day only you can weigh up whats more important the hair or the car?

I wouldn't change your anti-seizure meds. They are working! Your brain is happy! Thank your lucky stars for this. Extensions are in! See your hair stylist. Hats are cool too! The lack of confidence you may have due to hair loss will be multiplied by millions if you have a seizure in public. Trust me! Boo
