Spots in Vision

Tue, 08/15/2006 - 12:49
Question: Who here sees "Spots" in their vision as either a result of or part of a seizure? I'm seeing black spots in my vision again (along with a few other "funny feelings") and am wondering if it's seizure activity recurring (had surgery 4 years ago and nothing since until the last 6 mos. or so)?? Anyone?

Barbie- Have you noticed any particular pattern of when you get the spots in relation to the seizures? I'm still at the point of trying to determine a pattern of spots, headaches, and the other funny things that have been going on.. Sheesh

Hi Stefie, It seems like the spots either precede a complex partial seizure, or become part of a simple partial seizure for me. Sometimes, along with the spots, I get a feeling of an "internal earthquake" along with some hand tremors, and then it goes away. Other times, the spots are followed by a complex partial seizure, within a relatively short time. Although I do get migraines, I don't have an aura prior to them, although many, many people do. I hope things are well for you !
