Seizures and yawning, stretching
Sat, 12/06/2008 - 11:08I've noticed a coorelation between stretching and yawning with my seizures. In particular, I do these compulsive strings of half yawns (meaning, they're full yawns, but for the most part I'm not sucking in air, just stretching my mouth or some such) and these extended stretches. I'm not sure if they're part of my "episodes," an aura to them, or part of the post-ictal, but I've definitely noticed they're there.
Does anyone else have/do something similar? I'd love to hear. :-)

Hey all! I am still new to all of this and am still undiagnosed because docs wont take me seriously. (tis the life of someone with multiple rare disorders, who is still a medical mystery :/ but not POTS). in the last year i have had many types of seizures. one loss of conciousnes where I was so still I couldnt breathe, a few where i was totally aware and awake but jerking like a parkinsons patient for hours each time. Last night I stood to stretch and immediately lost vision, and started jerking. i called out to my bf and very soon gained my sight but was still jerking and could only get my arms to about chest height. i was super weak and REALLY out of it Euphoric almost. i VERY shortly either fell asleep or lost conciousness, i woke up twelve hours later. just 2 days ago i did something similar but i couldnt tell if i was actually jerking or if my head (i was almost passing out at the time from stretching while sitting). what is going on!! does anyone have any good literature on any of this?my rare diseases were all diagnosed because I found the information and took it to my doctor to be checked out.
