recurrent (serial) seizures

Mon, 09/04/2006 - 22:12
Has anyone experienced these who has simple partials? They seem to hit like once every 3 to 4 minutes, then I start to recover and then another hits. Can go on for hours if not for meds. Sam

This is exactly what happens with me too, and has been happening for the past two or three days (it gets worse around my period). I can be fine for a period of time and then I will start slipping in and out of reality. I feel like everyone else is rushing on by and I'm standing still, almost. And I am very aware of how people are reacting towards me. And stress and exhaustion contribute too.

Hi, I have times where I, too, feel like I am in another place - phasing in and out of reality. It is a very dreamy state. I always figured it was a relaxation thing that I do, but now I am wondering if it is a form of seizure or a side effect, etc.... I have days where everything is fine and clear and then times when it is like I am on the outside of myself and the world looking in - or down. Just floating.... It makes me self conscious because I get kind of clumsy and just feel very aware of being outside. Strange stuff:)

Yeah, if there's one thing I've learned it's that a lot of the ways I feel that are strange are probably seizure activity, or at least the result of abnormal brain waves. Can't write anything of as being "just me". Funny, sometimes it's easier to be able to say "Guess I'm nuts" than to say, "Here's a problem and now I have to chase doctor's and labs to get an answer."
