Muscle Twitch in Legs/body?

I just discovered this site the other day. I am hoping it will be a good forum for information and support. I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with seizure disorder last June. I haven't had any seizures since starting dilantin, however I continue to have what I like to call "Seizure Activity". Essentially it involves muscle tics/jerks/spasm in my legs, and now in my face. It usually only happens when I am tired. My doctor keeps telling me it isn't necessarily seizure related, but it's too abnormal not to be. Not to mention that the symptoms started when my seizures started and also subsided when I started the meds.

Hi. I have spasms, twitches and jerks in my legs and seizures on occasion. Since all my MRI and EEG testing came back normal, the Neurologists felt that I had Myoclonus which has these symptoms. Google this word and read about the symptoms and see if anything fits for you. You take seizure meds to stop the twitching and jerking. Good luck.

Sure it could be from your meds, or seizures.
But my daughter does not have epilepsy but was checked many years ago. She had tics for years. Usually for her she is low on magnesium. So she still has tics on occasion, for she does not eat real well, a teenager.

I have been having tonic-clonic seizures for a few years now, and was just hospitalized after a really bad seizure and was in the hospital for three weeks and hs a couple of meds added to my diet and my previous ones were upped and I have been experiencing twiches/jerks in muscles of legs and hands and legs ever since. I don't know if it is from added meds or epilepsy. I have experienced once before from being toxic on Phenytoin.
