Keppra and grapefruit juice
Tue, 04/01/2014 - 20:21Anyone know if grapefruit affects Keppra levels? When I was on Tegretol, I was advised not to eat grapefruit for many years. The Keppra label has no mention of grapefruit at all. Would love to incorporate it back into my diet, but only if it's safe.

Good point - I found a post on an 'ask the online pharmacist' website where someone asked this same question. She said no interactions between Keppra and grapefruit juice. Off to the produce department tomorrow :)

Yeah, I know those tests all too well! Glad Keppra is working well for you too. Been on it since October - so far, so good! No seizures at all. Keppra gets a bad rap from many people. I happen to love it - no complaints here :)

no problem As for the net and doctors appointments.. No I'll see mine in person like I have been doing for a very long time. That way he can check my equilibrum and my grip and walk so he can see if everything is realy OK, Oh I almost forgot touching his finger and my nose one hand then the other and yes it is important because that tests shows if you can connect and reallydo what you need to, He also taps his tool (looks like a tuning fork) and asks if I can feel it. Keppra is the best medication I have ever been on and it has reduced the number of seizures. It shortened the time in the seizure and the length of time to focus (get back to normal) I hope this helps Joe
