My Solution To IE and Chat Room

Mon, 12/12/2005 - 05:56
I messed with my settings and updates on my computer regarding IE and the chat room until I had only one hair on my head left that I hadn't pulled out. They don't like each other at all. And I don't like them anymore either when used in the same sentence together. But I had to find ONE place to read and chat instead of having to go to google to chat and IE to read.(Don't ask...I have no clue why.) So I downloaded Mozilla Firefox. And guess what? Not only can I read and chat...it loads faster than IE and my ISP. And for any people who cut their teeth on IE like I did and use it mainly out of habit...you can still use both. Firefox opens in its own window. Smiles all around! -Spiz

Joan, You have never caused any problems in the chat room that I am aware of. The red font causes problems for me as does the really bright colors but I've never encountered an attitude from anyone when I tell them it bothers me. They change the color as I do if it bothers anyone. It's the same with the icons...I'd rather chat with you than the icons. I might forget and slap one on there out of habit, but I'd try my best to remember not too. The software is for mozilla firefox...but believe me, it's worth downloading! I really do like it. It doesn't have the window dressing the other browsers do...but it is fast and simple. The flash block links are: Block Flash http://office.weblogsinc.com/entry/1234000830064157 Mozilla (block flash) http://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=433 I hope these help. I haven't tried them yet, but I will. Smiles! -Spiz

I miss the Moving Icons. I know they bothered some...and I feel bad that they do...but I do miss them. And Where is my Hug that Jack promised me? He doesn't have to come through on giving Barbie the wedgie...but I do still want my Hug. Dayna

Excuse me Dear Dayna !! That is so totally unfair !! Hey Jack, just ignore her ! I think the request was for a hug, a wedgie, a horse and a squid (heehee), ((( hugs ))), Barbie *************************************** "We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can fly only by embracing each other." -lucian de crescenzo
