This is my second time trying to post so out this is a repeat please excuse. I was recently diagnosed with seizures. I had some difficulties while driving. I got ill three days in a rowv while driving my car. .. headache, nausea...on the fourth day I had the same thing while driving but hit some mailboxes and felt drunk. I don't drink. Mri cat scan normal...but abnormal eeg. I beleive co poisoning but the hospital didn't do blood gasses...I don't want to take anti seizure meds but they say I need to. I haven't had any problems since and seem to be very sensitive to side effects. My neurologist won't listen...suggestions please?

Thanks for your suggestions. I would like to restate that these problems only occurred in my car an got worse for several days. They were not seizures. My doctor isn't a god and isn't looking at this holistically. She found an easy diagnosis and had her nuts call and prescribe drugs. My appointment isn't even till April. The incident occurred on November 28th . Nothing since. I take ambien for sleep which can cause abnormal eegs... can't afford a second opinion.

Nobody knows your body better than you.  I read that they're not seizures.  The only reason I mentioned that the abnormal EEG shows enough reason to prescribe AEDs. I didn't know you were taking something that can cause an abnormal eeg.  If you're taking something that can cause an abnormal eeg, you might still need to take AEDs, because it could be lowering your seizure threshold.  Good luck.
