Epilepsy or Migraine or Some Other

Sat, 03/11/2017 - 23:14
Hi, Past Medical Issue : I had migraine at the age of 15 to 20. I am 34 and I do not have migraine at all. At Present : From the age of 21, I started fainting down unconscious. This only happens as soon as wake up, brush my teeth and I head to the Kitchen. If I hold a spoon or plate, it falls down from my hand without any knowledge. If I sense that this is happening, I soon head to the bed and get some sleep. If I dont head to the bed , I usually faint down and I am admitted at the ambulance triage. This had has happened 7 times in a span of age 22 to 34. Once or twic I have bite my tongue on fainting . I have visited several doctors and have done most of diagnostics : I have done the below : 1. MRI scan of the brain 2. CT scan 3. EEG 4. Measured heart beat for a whole 2 days 5. Blood tests 6. BP and Sugar tests All have been found normal and no issues were found at all. One of the doctor said this might be a migraine syncope. One of the doctor said its epilepsy. One of the doctor said, I dont have to take medicine since I do not have a frequency as seen with Epileptic patient which is once or twice in a year. I still haven't found out what is the issue. Could someone help me, in letting me know what is next diagnostic procedure that I have to carry out.

I had taken several MRI and EEGS. All EEG's looked fine. Today the EEG taken had shown variations and the doctor has said I have to start taking medicine for Epilepsy - lactimal . He has told me not to drive a vehicle. I felt devastated today. As I had mentioned - I have these seizures in a gap of every 6 months. I feel like I shouldn't take medicine now - I will follow a strict ketogenic diet, have a good sleep. Follow a good diet and see how it goes for another year and check if this has reduced the seizures. Also, would like to ask if I start medicine - should I be taking this for life long. Would any cause of missing these medicines cause seizures again. Can the doctor stop the medicine if the seizures do not appear in a 3 month or an year.
