Something this morning maybe.

I got up at 8:20 and came out and Sean was still sleeping. I got on the computer, and about 10 minutes later, I hear him talking in his sleep again. Again, couldn't understand anything. He then quieted down. Then I heard him come out of his room at 9. He looked not really himself. He went and laid down on the couch and turned the television on. About a minute later, I got up to get the coffee maker on, but Sean and I make hot tea in it. I got the tea on, got the cereal bowls out and the coffee cups out. I looked at him every few minutes, while I was getting the things out of the cupboard, but he kept laying there not moving. I asked him how he was feeling. Nothing. I asked him again. Again nothing. Finally I called his name, still nothing, then I said his name louder and then it was like he jumped and said unh what. I asked him if he had heard me. He said no. I then asked him how he was feeling. He said tired. He didn't even want to eat breakfast. He said he just wanted to try and sleep again. Yeah I know he could have been fooling, but usually when he pretends not to hear me, his eyes are blinking or he chances a glance out of the side of his eyes to see if I am still looking at him. This time, they weren't. In fact, for a minute, I thought he was dead. that's how still he was, and had that vacant look.

My daugther Kaitlyn does that sort of thing, she is 2.... She will have these episodes where you will talk to her, touch her, anything and she won't even blink, or move. It's scary but I am told that these are absence seizures. Not sure if it's what Sean has but it sounds similar to what Kaitlyn does. Different ages I'm sure so maybe it's different....

My son is 12. I will be so glad when he has his EEG on the 31st and hopefully we will get to the bottom of all this stuff.

We had an EEG when my daugther just started to have the space out events but I heard conflicting things on what it showed. We just did a 24hr EEG but haven't found out the results. It is possible though to have seizures and have a normal EEG. It's frustrating to be able to have normal tests when something is wrong. Does your son have any other type of seizure that you know of?
