Is this a seizure?

Sun, 11/09/2014 - 10:13

My daughter has complex partial seizures and is currently unmedicated due to the side effects of keppra. She just broke out in terrible sweat, became completely flushed and said she had abdominal pains so I had her lie down.  Could this be another seizure?  Her seizures in the past were just staring and picking at her lips.  She has only had 2 grand mal seizures.  Any suggestions as to what this was?  She is currently laying down and blood pressure is extremely low.  Thanks for your help!

It could be a seizure. You posted unmedicated. Did you stop her medication without the neurologist telling you how? Did he prescribe a different medication? Generally when soneone is being taken off one medication they are put on another and that way medication to control her seizures would be in her system. If this were my child I would be calling the neurologist ans asking about the medication she will be put on and see when that would take place. There are several thing that can happen if a person is taken off meds without the doctors knowing it and setting up a new medication.
