New to Complex Partial -my 10yr old Daughter

Mon, 01/30/2017 - 12:42
Hello. I am from Maine and looking to find support and or advice and or experiences of others that may have a child that has this condition. My daughter has high functioning autism that she was diagnosed with at age 3 then was recently diagnosed with complex partial seizures after teacher at school was concerned about what we thought were stimming movements from autism. She is very high-functioning and it is actually considered Asperger's. The neurologist after doing a couple EEG test determined that Depakote should be tried to control the multiple seizures that the EEG showed her having while sleeping. They started her at a dose of 125mg three times a day but after the latest 48-hour EEG Day determined they should increase the nighttime dose to 500 and 2:50 in the morning. Since this she has been very tired throughout the day and having trouble focusing on school work so I just curious if anyone else out there has similar experience
