My 6 Year old Daughter - Febrile Seizures/Epilepsy?

Hopefully this isn't too windy...hoping someone has had a similar experience.

My 6 year old daughter ended up in the ER in January of this year with a suspected febrile seizure. She had been sick for a while with fever and her father said she was unresponsive, eyes rolled back in her head, foamy discharge from the mouth, bluish color to lips. She was very confused when she came back around and ended up being treated for strep throat. The ER doc said the fever from the illness caused the seizure.

Fast forward to about a week ago....daughter was sick again with a fever. The fever broke in the night. Daughter got up to use the restroom in the early morning and I went to talk to her when she was back in bed. Her eyes were fixed away from me, she was unable to respond to me, she started heaving while on her back like she was going to vomit. I rolled her onto her side and her arms and head were limp. She slowly came back around but still couldn't talk much. We took her to the ER to be seen again and they said she had a virus. She took the rest of the day to really be back to 100%....she was still talking like she was a bit confused off and on.

Her primary doctor referred us to a neurologist because she said it sounded like an atypical febrile seizure. The neurologist saw her and set her up for an EEG and said by definition she is epileptic and is talking about possible meds and a seizure action plan (he said we will discuss it after the EEG). I'm having an internal freak out. Could this be more than febrile seizures? What happens if the EEG is normal......what happens if it's abnormal? I'm reading everything I can but I feel like some material conflicts other material....help!
