Any advice?

Fri, 06/06/2014 - 00:31

My 8 yr old daughter was just diagnosed this week with atypical absence seizures. We will be starting zarontin tomorrow morning for treatment along with MRI scheduled soon. I am so scared and worried and lost. I also saw that there are so many interactions with this drug. She has allergy issues every year...what common drugs are safe to give?? And any advice on anything is appreciated!

I know there is no such thing as a complete list, but this is one way I look up known interactions. Click the interactions section and scroll down. You'll have to know generic names for drugs to compare.  I'm sorry you have to deal with this, it is a bunch of things to start to process.http://reference.medscape.com/drug/zarontin-ethosuximide-343007
