Hi everyone, I'm new here my son was diagnosed with epilepsy one year ago!! He hasn't had a seizure since last year (Jan 2016) but then on Christmas Day he had a seizure and then he had a seizure two days ago. And it only happens when his sleeping. They increased his keppra, he has a speech delay only has a couple of words and sounds!! He's also been putting his hands in his mouth like a baby but I guess is because of the increes of med. They done a VEEG test a MRI CTSCAN and everything comes out normal! Can the med cause him to have the speech delay???

My daughter is 5 and was diagnosed at 4. She only has seizures at night also. All her tests were negative. I have cut out all processed sugars, food coloring, switched to whole foods and natural body care, and saw great improvement in my daughter. I suspect she has multiple intolerances that contribute to her seizures. her eczema went away after we cut out all the processed foods and her sensitivity to multiple things (such as crying when her hair is brushed) has gone away. I am currently doing an elimination diet. I cut out all the common allergen food groups, and am introducing them one at a time, to see if they have ill effects. She had no seizures during the elimination process, but had them on two of the days that I reintroduced food groups. If you want to talk about this, let me know. I know epilepsy is not curable, but if I can help my daughter have seizures less and feel better while staying healthy, why not-Grace

Hi. Thanks for your response.

Hi. Thanks for your response. My son doesn't eat process food or food with food coloring. He has a pretty good diet, he only eats whole food, fruits and vegetables. And if you have any tips I'll be happy to talk about this with you!! Thanks
