With you still using the words "petit mal", that is a simple indication of you not being really up to date with even some of the basics about seizures and epilepsy. So my recommendation is for you to spend time going through the menu currently located on the left-hand side of the screen. The menu is kind of like a "Table of Contents" in a book. You'll have to do your own homework in order to learn more about seizures and epilepsy.

Knowledge is Power! But in order to build up that knowledge, you'll need Awareness, Communication, Support and Understanding.

I still use grand mal for my son's seizures and I am very up to date on medical terminology for seizures and current treatments.  I just can't seem to break the habit of saying grand mal and the neurologist never judges me on my terminology and infact tell me I am very imformative.

i used the term petit mal as i was explaining the type of seizures i get as i dont get full blown grand mal seizures i thought it was best to let people know what type i have.

i have read through the table of contents and found it very useful, but wondered if people have had simuler experiences to mine.
